Par[r]ega, Province of Friesland, The Netherlands
In 2009, a year later, Joop van Egmond (MOND) repainted this scene at Parrega, Friesland. Probably from an urge to achieve perfection in beauty. Parrega is a village in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is located southwest of Bolsward, northwest of Hieslum and northeast of Workum. Parrega used to be a fishing village, east of the Parregaastermeer, which was reclaimed in 1879. The village developed along the Workumertrekvaart, mainly on the west bank. Later also developed on the other side of the canal. This artwork comes with a BARTH 1828 aluminum frame and is protected with anti-reflective glass. Disclaimer: Photographing water colors is very difficult. It looks like the paper is extremely bumpy, but in reality it is barely visible to the naked eye.
