2019 An overview of the artwork by Joop van Egmond (MOND) is posthumous exhibited at The Municipal Museum, Katwijk from March 12 till June 1.	2019 On March 1st the monumental object Bloom 3 is revealed. It is located at the roundabout Noordwijkerweg and Voorhouterweg in Rijnsburg, The Netherlands.	2018 At the 3 October Parade in Leiden, The Netherlands, Joop van Egmond (MOND) is honored by his colleagues from the Fire Brigade.
2018 During a solo cycling trip from Harwich to London, Joop van Egmond (MOND) has a tragic road accident nearby Rawreth, Essex County. He dies of his injuries June 12 at the Royal London Hospital. 1996 The nineties are characterized by walking the path of African inspired portraits. The Queens Daughter Conté, pastel and chalk 1996	1995 His first monumental object, the 'Liberation Monument' becomes reality.	1992 Joop van Egmond (MOND) shows sculptors and his latest paintwork at 't Huys Dever in Lisse, The Netherlands.
1991 In the early years of the nineties, Joop van Egmond (MOND) surprises everyone when he starts sculpting. Stainless steal becomes his material of choice.	1987 At Gallery De Pomp, Warmond, The Netherlands Joop van Egmond (MOND) exhibits work in collaboration with Gé Witmaar.	1988 First time for the artist to visit France. Many inspiring travels would follow.
1988 Together with other artist, Joop van Egmond (MOND) is involved in the foundation of Kunstkring '88. The union promotes art and culture in the region.	1986-1995 Joop van Egmond (MOND) designs the famous 3 October Parade of Leiden, The Netherlands.	1986-1998 For years, Joop van Egmond designs the show cars for the annual Flower Parade in Rijnsburg, The Netherlands. In the first years in collaboration with artist friend Jaap van der Plas, but later on his own.
1985 Together with sculptor Wim Jonker, Joop van Egmond (MOND) exhibits at 't Spant in Bussum, The Netherlands.	1982 Exhibition at the town hall of Den Burg, Texel, The Netherlands.	1981 After using a bed room for a while, Joop van Egmond (MOND) decides to move to a real studio. The building at Marktplein in Rijnsburg is still standing, but now serves as an office.
1981 The artist is getting more and more famous and takes up assignments here and there, like illustrating books. The first edition of a collection of poems with illustrations of Joop van Egmond (MOND) is being presented on the photo.	1980 Joop van Egmond (MOND) visits Sedrun, Swiss with its family. 1978 The artist buys an press and starts experimenting with etching. He makes some prints of prominent locals. 1976 Joop van Egmond (MOND) followed lessons at Ars Aemula Naturae in Leiden in the sixties, but not for long. In the seventies, he returns for courses with the well-known artist Udo Gunther Bredow. Drawing Class Washed ink 1976	1976 Early in the seventies, Joop van Egmond (MOND) meets the sculptor Károly J. Dálnoki Veress, who resided a few years in Rijnsburg. This Hungarian artist influenced him greatly.	1974 First exhibition ever. After years of experimenting and trying, Joop van Egmond (MOND) dares to show his works to the public at a local exhibition. 1969 After a few years working for the Voluntary Fire Brigade Service in Rijnsburg, Joop van Egmond (MOND) starts working for the professional Fire Brigade in Leiden. He will passionately perform this duty until his retirement in 1998.	1967 The emerging artist marries at July 14th. Picture of an oil painting from the 1977s. The original work is probably painted over.	1961 Joop van Egmond (MOND) meets the love of his life, Alida van Beelen.
1961 One evening a week Joop van Egmond (MOND) visits the famous Academy Ars Aemula Naturae in Leiden. He learns about model drawing.	1960 For some time, Joop van Egmond (MOND) forms a musical duo with his brother. The band is called The String Brothers.	1956 The young artist is unsure what profession he wants to follow. The results from a test suggests carpenter or painter. He chooses the latter and enters Craft School in Leiden, The Netherlands.
1949 Joop van Egmond (MOND) enters elementary school in Rijnsburg. He was not good at math, but his drawing skills were praised. Punishment consisted of sitting under the table (like is shown in the drawing).	1943 Born at July 28th in Rijnsburg, The Netherlands (front row, second from the right). The family has an interest in music, culture and art.
