Jisp is a village in the municipality of Wormerland in the Dutch Province of Noord-Holland. Centuries ago, Jisp was an important place for whaling. Jisp has 1120 inhabitants (2007) and is located in the nature reserve Wormer- and Jisperveld on the road from Neck to Wormer. The road and neighborhood The Weiver connects Jisp with the village of Wormer. Until 1991, Jisp was an independent municipality.
