  • Ferwerd (officially, Frisian: Ferwert) is a mound village in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân, in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is located northeast of Leeuwarden, between the terp villages Hogebeintum and Marrum. The village center located on the south side of the N357, near the Wadden Sea. In 2019, the village had 1,760 inhabitants. The village also includes the hamlet De Rijp. It works together with Hogebeintum on several fronts, such as the joint village interest group. This artwork comes with a beautiful natural frame. It is painted in acrylic on hardboard and is protected with anti-reflective glass.
