Beidaihe is located in Hebei Province and is a popular resort on the Bohai Sea. Party officials come here every year to escape the summer heat and meet. Joop van Egmond (MOND), however, had more eye for the fishermen on the coast. It reminded him of the IJsselmeer fishermen, of which he produced a series of watercolors years earlier. This artwork comes with a white aluminum frame and is protected with glass. Disclaimer: Photographing water colors is very difficult. It looks like the paper is extremely bumpy, but in reality it is barely visible to the naked eye.
